The fantasy golf options for the JTBC Founders Cup are packed with possibilities. The Tour’s return to the continental United States brings a return to full-field stroke play and with only the Founders Cup and the Kia Classic remaining before the year’s first major, the ANA Inspiration, the field will be hard at work fine-tuning their games.

As I assess the Founders Cup field I’ll be shaping my picks for the Ladies Dream Golf Pick-4 contest, but I hope that fantasy golf managers will find this information helpful for other games as well.

The 6th edition of the JTBC Founders Cup – in part a celebration of LPGA history, in part an affirmation of the future of the Tour and women’s golf, and in part a flat-out competition among the game’s finest women golfers – will be contended at JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Wildfire Golf Club. It’s a track that will test the field.

The Faldo and Palmer tracks are classic desert settings with big, open fairways, desert scrub rough, and expansive greens. To get a peek at the top of the leaderboard at Wildfire players are going to need to be in control of both their long games and short games. A side trip into the saguaro cacti could prove disastrous. A cold flat stick will consign a player to the lower half of the leaderboard.
