Rebecca Coakley Codd      Born 1981, Adelaide, Australia

Rebecca Coakley Codd may or may not qualify as an Irish golfer, depending on your point of view. Codd was born in Adelaide, Australia and initially played on the ALPG after she turned pro in 2002.

Like the career paths of many women in many different fields, Rebecca Coakley Codd’s path twisted and turned when she married PGA/LPGA caddie Shane Codd. Rebecca Codd lists her nationality as Irish and the Codds maintain a permanent residence in Carlow.

Codd has played on the Ladies European Tour for 11 years, making a living as a sportswoman, playing a game she loves, and balancing the demands of career and family, often taking daughter Kate with her on the circuit when Dad is looping and also earning a living.

Kudos to Rebecca Codd. The Mommy Track is always a balancing act!
