PINEHURST, NC – JUNE 22: Stephanie Meadow of Northern Ireland plays her tee shot at the par 4, second hole during the final round of the 69th U.S. Women’s Open at Pinehurst Resort /

Stephanie Meadow       Born 1992, Jordanstown

Stephanie Meadow played some impressive golf at her pro debut, the 2014 US Women’s Open. But Meadow had been delivering impressive golf for 4 years as a member of the Crimson Tide’s golf team, setting records in one category after another.

Meadow hasn’t yet cashed in on her 3rd place finish at Pinehurst two years ago. She made it through LPGA Q-School and played a deeply flawed rookie year in 2015, her focus profoundly disrupted by the death of her father.  She went back to the Tour’s Q-School in December but failed to qualify for a 2016 card so, although she’s still listed on the official LPGA roster she’s not currently involved in active competition.

Still, given Stephanie Meadow’s athletic promise, we hope to see her return to competition in due time.
