AUSTIN, TX – MARCH 25: Patton Kizzire (r) of the United States prepares to shake hands with Emiliano Grillo of Argentina after Grillo conceded the 18th hole during the third round of the 2016 World Golf Championships Dell Match Play at The Austin Country Club on March 25, 2016 in Austin, Texas. In a coin toss let’s give this one to Patton Kizzire.

Ryan Moore and Patton Kizzire are both survivors.

Moore halved his match with Marc Leishman, outlasted Sergio Garcia (1 up) and just plain outplayed Lee Westwood (3 and 1). Although Moore brought Palmer Cup and Walker Cup experience to the WGC-Dell Match Play, he has no current pro experience. He just delivered his best game three times and it got him to the Sweet 16 bracket.

Patton Kizzire is in much the same situation, but lacking amateur match play experience. He halved his match with Bubba Watson in the first round of group play and did it again with J.B. Holmes in the second round. He finally won a match outright against Emiliano Grillo (2 up).

How might this match go? It’s very hard to say. Moore’s ranked 47th and Kizzire 65th. For both, this is their pro match play debut. Let’s toss a coin and give this one to Kizzire.
