3. PGA National

The “Bear Trap” can make or break your match down the stretch.

When you think about PGA National, your mind jumps straight to the infamous “Bear Trap” –  holes 15-17. One poor swing or decision it can completely change the outcome of a match. I don’t know if another finishing stretch is more difficult then this one. You have to judge the wind right and hit quality shots, because if you don’t the “Bear Trap” is going to eat you alive.

This is probably the most difficult course out of the five on this list. Wind is always a huge factor. You always need to take advantage of the downwind holes and just fight to make pars on the holes into the wind. On this course, the player that is in most control of his golf ball is going to be the one surviving.
