16th hole (Redbud) – Can anybody match Tiger’s 2005 shot on the 16th?

Par 3: 170 yards

Rank: 7

Virtual Flyover:

This hole always seems to play a huge factor in determining the winner. The green has a giant ridge that splits the green in two as it slopes from right to left. It’s surrounded by a huge amphitheater. You will know when somebody makes a great shot here.

The water never really comes into play, except for during practice rounds when the players skip balls across the pond and try to hit the green. Probably the worst place to miss on this hole is in the back bunker when the hole is up on the back right. The only way you are going to be able to hold it on the top level is to hit the pin. Good luck.

This might be the most famous Sunday pin location on the course. It’s all the way in the back left. You will see the players try to aim out to the right and let the contours feed the ball towards the hole. We see more holes in one on 16 than any other of the par 3’s.

Oh, and also – Tiger Woods hit that one shot here in 2005. “In your life have you seen anything like that?!” No Vern Lundquist, we have never.
