Virtual Flyover:
The greatest hole on a course with 18 great holes, has to be the par-5 13th hole at Augusta National. If you ask me, I think it is the greatest hole in all of golf. It’s just so incredibly beautiful and unique.

The drive is to a fairway that slopes extremely significantly from right to left. Unless you are very long and can launch the ball over the trees with a driver, the play is usually a three wood to stay short of the trouble on the right. We see a lot of players in there anyway, and the most memorable shot from there easily had to be Phil Mickelson’s 2nd shot that left him about five feet for eagle back when he won his 3rd green jacket back in 2010.
The approach to the green is very difficult because of the extreme side-hill lie. You have very little room for error with Ray’s Creek surrounding the green short and right. We see all ranges of scores here from eagles to double bogeys or worse.
The green has a significant ridge that runs through the middle and separates the two hole locations on the top left level, from the two on the bottom right side. Eagles are usually more likely when the hole location is on the right where you can feed the second shot down towards the hole.

It’s really difficult to describe the greatness of this hole in which words do not do it justice. Greatness personified.
