The Masters belonged to Jordan Spieth last year, but this year’s event remains wide open.

Masters Week begins! After an eight-month absence, major championship golf will be returning to our small screens this week. For most fans, it’s not a moment too soon. Golf has become a year-round sport, which is great, but nothing can compare to the suspense that so often takes center stage at the game’s four crown jewels.

Last year’s Masters was a significant one. Jordan Spieth blitzed the course and delivered one of the most impressive performances Augusta National has ever seen, winning by four strokes. At 21 years of age, he became the second-youngest man to win a green jacket (Tiger Woods was a few months younger when he won his first back in 1997).

After a performance like that, it almost looked as though Spieth would win every Masters for the next 20 years, but that obviously won’t be the case. Not only has the Texan not looked his absolute sharpest this season, but a host of other PGA Tour players have been trending extremely well during the run up to the year’s first major – some of whom will be discussed in the following slides.

Without further ado, let’s get to it. Here are this week’s best bets for success at the Masters Tournament.
