The Masters brings out the poet it all of us!

The 2016 Masters Tournament is finally upon us. The Sunday excitement of the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship is in the rearview mirror. Jordan Spieth has made it through his first Champions Dinner as host and the hub-bub of the Par-3 Contest and those astonishing 7 aces is over for another year.

The amateurs who are encamped in the Crow’s Nest are trying to get a good night’s sleep and we’re almost to the ceremonial tee shot that will be minus one of our most beloved golf icons this year.

What must it feel like tonight on the hallowed ground of Augusta National Golf Club?

Twas the night before the Masters,

when all through the course

No one was a stirring, not even Phil’s horse.
