Volvo China Open Top 10 Player Power Rankings

The Volvo China Open returns to Beijing for its 22nd edition. Can Alexander Levy win the title for the second time?
The Volvo China Open started life in Beijing and it is to the Chinese capital that it returns this week. The Championship course at Topwin Golf and Country Club is actually younger than the event itself but there is no doubt that the par 72 layout is worthy of hosting China’s most prestigious golf event.
The Parkland Course was designed by Welsh golfing legend Ian Woosnam and would not look out of place in mainland Europe. That’s if you focus solely on the holes and don’t have a look at the surrounding area. The players will get several glimpses of the Great Wall of China on their way round, and along with the natural plants and wildlife, make this place distinctly Chinese.
The biggest stars of Chinese golf are in the field this week looking to do battle with a number of European Tour stalwarts. Many of the latter category will have to make up for lost time as they belatedly make the trip from Genzon Golf Club due to the Shenzhen International’s Monday finish.
Still, the highest ranked players competing this week ply their trade on the European Tour and a repeat of Wu Ahsun’s win for the home fans would require a brilliant four days of play.
So, who do we fancy for a crack at the Volvo China Open this week? Let’s delve into our Power Rankings.
