Golf Channel: Matt Kuchar’s strong form and great course history make him stand out.

Group 1: Jordan Spieth – Here we have a choice between five players: Spieth, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy, Bubba Watson and Rickie Fowler. Unless you were reckless at the beginning of the year, you should have some starts to work with on all of them, so let’s focus on the first three. Spieth, Day and McIlroy all won in their most recent starts, but the American is the only one with a top five on his Memorial resume, so he gets the nod. Save Fowler and Watson for when they’re in better form.

Group 2: Matt Kuchar – There’s plenty of talent to choose from in this group, but it’s hard to turn away from Kuchar’s potential value this week. The 37-year-old has made bank at Muirfield Village over the years and is currently on a hot streak, finding the top 10 in each of his last three starts. Hideki Matsuyama is another viable option, but he might be even more consistent than Kuchar – it would behoove you to keep a couple of his starts in your back pocket if you can swing it.

Group 3: Chris Kirk – Another tough call here, but Kirk, the top-ranked player in the group, looks like the best bet for success. The Georgia product has posted three top 15s in his last four starts and six top 25s in his last eight–it looks like he’s making up for the time he lost to a wrist injury last summer. He also tied for fourth at the 2014 Memorial, so he knows what it takes to climb the leaderboard at Muirfield Village.

Group 4: David Hearn – There are a few viable options in this group, but none appear to be as safe a bet as this Canadian should be. He’s found the top 30 in four of his last five starts and knows his way around Muirfield Village, posting three top 30s in his last four trips. If you’re not feeling Hearn, consider Ricky Barnes or Roberto Castro – both have tasted success at the Memorial and have flashed some form over the past few weeks.
