Phil Mickelson won the Scottish Open the last time it was at Castle Stuart. Can he do it again to secure his tenth European Tour title?

With the Greenbrier Classic canceled due to heavy flooding, the European Tour’s Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open will take center stage this week. This is our last chance to see some of the world’s top players in action before the Open Championship, so you’ll want to scrutinize every shot.

This year, the Scottish Open returns to Castle Stuart Golf Links after a two-year layoff. The last time we saw this course in action, Phil Mickelson felled Branden Grace in sudden death and went on to win the Open at Muirfield the week after. Both men will be returning this week, two of nine players from the world’s top 30 in the field.

As usual, there should be some dicey weather in store for this week. The chance of showers will loom for the whole tournament, especially on Saturday. In addition, wind will blow, possibly topping the 20 mph mark during the final round.

Without further ado, let’s go ten deep. Here are our best bets for success at the Scottish Open.
