Dustin Johnson and Jason Day have been among the PGA Tour’s best players this season, but only one can win the Player of the Year award.

Just 11 events remain in the 2015-16 PGA Tour season, but when it comes to the majors, we’re only halfway through. The world’s top players will convene at Royal Troon for the Open Championship next week, with the PGA Championship on the horizon two weeks later.

At this point, the PGA Tour Player of the Year race is far from settled — a lot can happen over the course of two majors. That being said, some definite frontrunners have emerged over the past few months. These are the players who have dominated the scene this year, picking up big wins and backing them up with other strong finishes.

With less than three months of the season remaining, let’s take a closer look at the main contenders for POY honors. Keep an eye on these five as we head down the stretch.
