One week. Seven days. 168 hours. That was all the time Tom Lehman had at the top between April 20-26, 1997. Let’s hope he enjoyed it.

What he likely did not enjoy quite as much were his runner-up finishes at the Masters and the U.S. Open. A win at either of those events would have propped him up on this list and perhaps extended his stay at the top.

The Minnesota native won the Open Championship in 1996, won five times on the PGA Tour in his career and is one of the finest golfers to ever come out of the Midwest, but we’re in exclusive company here. Back of the line, buddy.
