In 1973, Tom Weiskopf finally realized his talent by outlasting Johnny Miller at Royal Troon.
Tom Weiskopf captured the only major of his career in 1973 by edging out Johnny Miller, the reigning U.S. Open champion. The pair entered the final round with a solid advantage over the field, with Weiskopf sitting at 10-under and Miller at nine-under. In the end, it was a steady finish from Weiskopf that would take down his opponent and earn the Claret Jug.
