The Sunday challenge he’d have been hoping to provide to Ryan Moore at the John Deere never really materialized, but Ben Martin played beautifully all week long to secure an outright second finish last week.
After a seventh placed finish at the Barracuda Championship last month, it seems as if Martin is starting to find some real form, and considering he finished tied 10th last year in his first tournament visit to the course since 2011, he should have a real chance.
With one win on the PGA Tour and two on the Web.com already to his name in his relatively young pro career, it only seems like a matter of time before the 28-year-old has his hands on a trophy again. A native of Greenville, SC, perhaps it will come together for Martin in the Carolinas this week.
