As if the opening week of playoff golf wasn’t set to be thrilling enough, the fact that the Black Course at Bethpage Park is playing host to The Barclays this season only ratchets up the excitement level even further.

One of the greatest and most challenging courses in the country, expect Bethpage to provide a stern test to the world’s best players this week, with a distinct advantage to those who’ve played well on the tour’s rare visits here in the past (for example, if Sergio Garcia hadn’t decided to skip this tournament again, he’d have had to rank among the favorites)..

Who can impress and find a way to vault their way up the standings this week? Who will cement their position near the top?

More from Golf Power Rankings

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the early frontrunners. Here are your best bets for success at The Barclays at Bethpage Black.
