Although Willett’s 12th placed finish at the Omega European Masters wasn’t exactly the stuff of headlines, the fact that he finished the event with a closing round of 64 certainly should be enough to make people sit up and take notice.

Willett was another player who finished in that massive tie for third place here last season, and as evidenced by his third placed BMW PGA Championship finish at Wentworth this summer, he tends to thrive among top caliber fields. This week should suit the Englishman.
