PGA Tour: 10 Best Tournaments from 2015-2016 Season
The 2015-16 PGA Tour Season has officially wrapped up, but what were its best moments and tournaments?
With Rory McIlroy’s Tour Championship victory, the 2015-16 PGA Tour season came to a sensational end. After months of speculation over his poor putting and tournament results, the 27-year-old rediscovered his dominant form of 2014 during this year’s FedEx Cup Playoffs, winning two of the final three events to crown himself as $10 million champion.
McIlroy wasn’t the only superstar whose form fluctuated over the course of the season. Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Adam Scott and Danny Willett all bounced dramatically around the top of the Official World Golf Rankings.
Even more surprising than the superstars veering were the final results of the major tournaments. Each major champion in 2016 was a first time winner. This continues to spurn the question of which golfer will separate themselves to become the most dominant player in the game.
