9. Travelers Championship (Russell Knox)

Not all tournaments are memorable from beginning to end. Include the Travelers Championship in that list. Russell Knox played consistent golf throughout the week, and edged Jerry Kelly by a stroke at 14-under-par. The tournament was conventional at best, until Jim Furyk did the unthinkable.

Furyk played the final round of the Travelers at 12-under, achieving a final score of 58 on the day. It was the first time in PGA Tour history a player had shot a 58.

Furyk took advantage of soft greens from the rains that came the night before, and lit up the scoreboard the next morning. As news of his round swept over news outlets, millions tuned in to watch Furyk seal his 58 with a par putt on the 18th.

“No one else can say they’ve done that out here on the PGA Tour,” Furyk said. “It’s really special.”

While from start to finish the tournament was stale, it is too difficult not to include this historic moment on this top 10 list.
