Rory McIlroy — A

Record: 3-2-0

The emergence of Thomas Pieters was the big story, but Rory McIlroy still deserves plenty of credit for his play on Friday and Saturday. The Ulsterman was the perfect partner for his Belgian teammate, allowing him to shine in his first Ryder Cup appearance. While McIlroy came up empty on Sunday, he might have delivered the most impressive European performance of the day in his marquee match with Patrick Reed, bringing enough heart and soul for the entire team. He’s now been a major contributor in each of the last three Ryder Cups.
