All eyes will be on Tiger Woods this week, but if you’re trying to guess the PGA Tour’s next winner, you’re better off looking elsewhere.

After a thrilling week in the Coachella Valley, the PGA Tour heads south to La Jolla, California for the Farmers Insurance Open. Held annually at Torrey Pines, one of America’s public gems, this event usually attracts a solid field, and this year is no exception.

Of course, one member of this week’s field overshadows the presence of just about everyone else: Tiger Woods. The 14-time major winner will be making his first official PGA Tour start since the 2015 Wyndham Championship, and while he’s picked up seven wins over his career at Torrey Pines, there’s no telling how he’ll perform this time around. He finished close to dead last at the Hero World Challenge in December, but he also led the field in birdies and displayed plenty of positive signs. With some of the rust shaken off, he could be in for a big week this week.

However, even with all the intrigue surrounding his return, you won’t find Woods in any of my fantasy content for this week. Despite his laundry list of career achievements, he’s just too much of an enigma at this point — essentially, I’m treating him like I’d treat any 41-year-old returning from back surgery. I might revise my stance after a couple of events, but for now, he’s too much of a question mark to project.

Without further ado, let’s get to my rankings for this week. Here are ten of the best bets for success at the Farmers Insurance Open.
