Charley Hull plays golf with an attitude that could well serve all of us who tee up the little white ball: “Hit the ball. Got find it. Hit it again.”

She didn’t deliver much of a game at Paradise Island last month. She missed the cut. But keep in mind that even though she’s finally celebrated her 20th birthday Charley Hull is more kid than most kids, and the beach was very, very close to the golf course.

I think Hull’s Solheim Cup playing partner, Mel Reid, is going to get her focused on golf this week. The pair made quite a team in 2015 at St. Leon-Rot and the Europeans are already thinking about reclaiming the Waterford crystal trophy this year. Hull has a solid game in her bag and the Royal Adelaide open links style suits her eye. So, if Charley can think more about work than about play, we’ll see her contending come Sunday.
