Rickie Fowler and Daniel Berger are local favorites. Both have connections to the surrounding area.

Hudson Swafford was awarded his first career victory at the Career Builder Challenge last month, joining the list of recent first-time winners. The 29-year old ranks 12th both in strokes gained off the tee and driving distance. Hudson has his one sole win in 8 events played this season. I am getting a feeling Swafford could double his luck in the win column. Could it be this week?

Fowler finished 6th in this event last year, showing his skills at a course that suits him very well. He’s having a consistent season thus far, even though he has only played in threePGA Tour events this season. On the European Tour, Fowler’s best finish was 6th at the WGC-HSBC Champions.

Fowler ranks in the top-10 in strokes gained around the green, tee to green, scoring average, driving distance and ranks first in scrambling.

Daniel Berger was the runner up in this event in 2015. Berger has two top-10’s this season and ranks 19th in the standings. Berger can play some spectacular golf, and why not play some of the best golf at your home course, right?

This group can also be streamed through the PGA Tour Live app.
