LPGA: HSBC Women’s Champions Top Five Fantasy Picks

I’m eager to see what the ambitious rookie will do this week for my fantasy team.

Amy Yang, last week’s Honda LPGA Thailand winner is in this group, and although I’m not looking for her to record a 2nd win so quickly I’m impressed with her game. She’s well-tuned. Don’t overlook her.

Sei Young Kim, Inbee Park, and Minjee Lee are also delivering solid games right now and any of them would make a good addition to your fantasy team this week.

Sung Hyun Park is one of the 2017 hot shot rookies and while this week marks her debut as an LPGA player and while she has no record at Sentosa, I still think she’s going to bear watching. If you like the high risk-high reward equation for your team, go with her. She played the weekend last year at the ANA Inspiration, the US Women’s Open, and the RICOH Women’s British Open and finished inside the top 20 all three times. Sentosa could be in her glide path.

I’m going to shy away from Brooke Henderson, Stacy Lewis, Charley Hull, Gerina Piller, and Anna Nordqvist, although Suzann Pettersen might be a good pick. She likes playing Asian venues, so if you’re shopping among the experienced veterans Pettersen would be my choice.
