Dustin Johnson — $12,500

This Coastal Carolina product has been the most impressive player on the PGA Tour over the past year, piling up four victories to go along with his recently attained world No. 1 ranking. For that reason, it makes sense that Johnson looks poised to make a fantasy splash at the WGC-Mexico Championship.

Always one of the lengthiest players on the PGA Tour, Johnson has managed to take his game to the next level by figuring out how to own the greens — on the new season, he ranks 31st in strokes gained: putting, up from 71st in 2015 and 120th in 2013. That improvement has helped him to get off to a great start in the new year, with three podium finishes, including a win at the Genesis Open, in his last four worldwide starts. As a winner of the former WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral, he’ll miss the opportunity to play on a course that treated him so well, but he definitely appears to have what it takes to be similarly productive at Chapultepec.

With a salary of $12,500, Johnson is the most expensive player in DraftKings this week, but that’s because his odds of finding success are so much better than anyone else’s. He belongs in your lineup.
