Rickie Fowler — $9,900

After an inconsistent season in 2016, Fowler has returned to the spotlight after back-to-back strong performances on the PGA Tour. With both his game and his confidence renewed, he should be a popular choice among fantasy managers as the world’s elite players head south of the border.

With a tie for fourth at the Waste Management Phoenix Open and a win at the Honda Classic in his last two starts, Fowler is in his best form in months. Earned like a “true champion” or not, a victory is a victory — from a fantasy perspective, a bogey-bogey finish is just as good as a back nine surge if the end result is the same. Beyond his form, Fowler currently leads the PGA Tour in both total strokes gained and scoring average. He’s been striping it off the tee, and as he displayed at PGA National last week, he’s been second to none on the greens.

At $9,900 in DraftKings, Fowler is cheaper than several of the premium options in this week’s field, including Rory McIlroy, who hasn’t played in more than six weeks due to a rib injury. Don’t be shy about making the investment — with how well he’s played this season, another victory could be just around the corner.
