Donald Trump – His Love Affair with Golf Raises Criticism

Every time Donald Trump hits the links eyebrows go up.
Donald Trump played golf last week with Rory McIlroy and has frequently made visits to golf courses near his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida since his inauguration.
CNN reported that McIlroy told them,
"Trump shot around an 80."
McIlroy received a lot of backlash from many people in and around golfing communities for playing a full round with the President.
Rory seemed to take the criticism to heart and he sent out this tweet shortly after his meeting with Trump to address his critics.
But for President Trump, golf has been a part of his life from a very young age. He is so passionate about the game that he currently owns 17 golf courses around the world. He also makes frequent visits to Scotland, home to Trump International Golf Links.
Out of the 17 courses he owns, he has two in Scotland.

Since becoming elected in November, Trump has played golf with many celebrities and athletes. He played with Tiger Woods in Florida in December 2016. Trump also played at the Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
USA TODAY also reported that Trump played with Ernie Els as well.
Trump is a better golfer than most people think. He owns the course record at the Trump International Golf Club with a score of 66. Golf.com reported that Trump does not practice much and just likes to hit the links and play 18 holes.
Trump has a lot of athletic abilities. He played football, soccer, and baseball while in school in his younger days at the New York Military Academy.
Trump called out former president Barack Obama for playing too many rounds of golf during his presidency, but so far, Trump has played six times in the month since his inauguration, golf.com reported.
Trump has been accused by many, including Samuel L. Jackson, for cheating during his rounds of golf, but Trump responded to his critics with this tweet:

While Trump isn’t the only president who has played golf in his spare time, considering he has spent a lot of his time during his presidency on a golf course with celebrities and professional golfer, it’s not hard to see Trump’s love of golf. How many rounds of golf will he play throughout his presidency? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
