Two years ago, Jordan Spieth put it all together for a memorable victory at the Valspar Championship. Who has what it takes to become the PGA Tour’s next winner at Innisbrook?

After a brief interruption, the PGA Tour is returning to the Sunshine State for the remainder of its annual Florida swing, starting with the Valspar Championship. Held at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club, the event is often one of the toughest non-major tournaments on the schedule, so the players should prepare themselves for a compelling challenge.

While this week’s field isn’t a particularly strong one, this event can still be plenty consequential. By Thursday’s opening tee time, we’ll be just about a month out from the Masters, and the Valspar can often serve as an important source of momentum — just ask Jordan Spieth, who won the event in 2015 before slipping into a green jacket at Augusta just a few weeks later.

Spieth isn’t in the field this week, but several other big names are. Will any of them be able to follow in his footsteps and gain some important inertia as we inch closer to the Masters?

Without further ado, let’s get to my projections for this week. Here are ten of the best bets for success at the Valspar Championship. As always, each player’s current rank on the FedEx Cup points list is listed next to his name.
