PGA Tour Power Rankings: Valspar Championship
By Sam Belden
Wesley Bryan — 60th
After getting poor results at the beginning of this season, his first as a PGA Tour member, Bryan has stepped on the gas over the past few weeks, notching back-to-back fourth-place finishes at the Genesis Open and the Honda Classic. Aside from his lack of length, he’s demonstrated a great all-around game over that stretch, and it’s shown in the statistics — he currently ranks in the top 35 on the PGA Tour in both strokes gained: approach-the-green and strokes gained: around-the-green. While he’s never logged a competitive round at the Copperhead Course, it appears to be a good match.
It took a while for him to get settled, but Bryan now appears to be well on his way to a successful PGA Tour career. He could give it a massive boost with a victory this week — as we saw on the Web.com Tour last year, Bryan has the ability to dominate.
