Gary Woodland — $8,900

This Kansas native will definitely head into this week with some happy memories in tow. In 2011, Woodland, a rookie with less than three months of PGA Tour experience, had an outstanding week to win his first career title at the Valspar Championship. Now, with six more years under his belt and a better all-around game to boot, the 32-year-old appears to be a great bet for success at this week’s edition.

While he didn’t play all that well at altitude last week, Woodland was demonstrating sterling form before his trip down to Mexico; even still, he’s notched four top six finishes in his last seven starts. That includes a share of runner-up honors at the Honda Classic just two weeks ago, so he’s definitely hitting it well enough to pick up a second win at Innisbrook. While his more recent record at the Valspar hasn’t been outstanding, he did tie for eighth two years ago, so he should still have what it takes to tame the course.

Also a statistical force, Woodland leads the PGA Tour in sand saves and ranks 18th in strokes gained: tee-to-green, so his game goes beyond the booming drives. He’s available at a reasonable price in DraftKings, so don’t be afraid to plug him in.
