Pornanong Phatlum won’t disappoint – she’ll deliver her A game at the Founders Cup.

We need a short list for this pick. Given the ever-present Solheim Cup standings that are looming over every shot for the American and European players, let’s look at them first.

Among the Americans in the field: Gerina Piller, Jess Korda, Cristie Kerr, Beth Allen. I’d like to include Alison Lee in my short list but she’s needs to show me she has game this season. I haven’t seen it yet. Why not Brittany Lincicome? It’s going to be sunny and hot in Phoenix and I think she’ll wilt.

Among the Europeans, watch Jodi Ewart Shadoff, Caroline Masson, and Azahara Munoz. They’re all looking to collect Solheim Cup points and they’re all solid players.

Any of these players would make a solid addition to your fantasy team. They’ll make the cut and are likely to finish inside the top 20 in the field.

Don’t overlook Pornanong Phatlum. While she’s been largely overshadowed by Ariya Jutanugarn, Phatlum is a solid, experienced, tenacious golfer. She started her season with a pair of top-10s, then faded a bit. But she’s a regular at the Founders Cup and has a good history here that includes a pair of recent top-10s.

My Pick: Pornanong Phatlum

I’m looking for the diminutive Thai to break through this season and become a Rolex 1st Time Champion. Although given the Founders Cup field strength Phatlum is a long shot for the win, it’s not impossible and a high finish is very probable.
