Jason Day picked up his eighth PGA Tour win at the 2016 Arnold Palmer Invitational, but can he fight off a strong field to do it again this year?

Tiger Woods may be on the mend once again, but the show must go on at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. From tributes to the late King to a tournament featuring 120 of the top golfers on the PGA Tour, there will be plenty to see at Bay Hill Club and Lodge this week.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational is the first of five special invitational events on the PGA Tour schedule — in the coming months, the Heritage, Dean & DeLuca Invitational, Memorial and Quicken Loans National will follow.

These tournaments feature smaller fields and more sponsor’s exemptions than a typical PGA Tour event, so fantasy managers will be in for a slightly different experience in terms of lineup construction this week.

But even so, our basic fantasy principles remain the same, and with plenty of veterans in the field, we’ve got enough information at our disposal. Notably, there are a lot of talented European players with good Bay Hill track records — but which ones are worth splurging on?

Without further ado, let’s get to my picks for this week. Here are five solid bets for fantasy success at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Each player’s DraftKings salary is listed next to his name.
