PGA Tour Fantasy Picks: Arnold Palmer Invitational
By Sam Belden
Kevin Kisner — $7,600
Even after all this time, he’s still a bit of an enigma, but the fact is that Kisner has been one of the better American players in the game for nearly two years now. He also happens to be on a run of fine form at the moment, making him an enticing fantasy option as the PGA Tour makes its way to Bay Hill.
After playing mediocre golf for much of 2016, Kisner has worked his way back into the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking with his strong recent play. The Georgia product has notched four top 25 finishes in his last five starts, including a tie for fourth at the Sony Open and a solo 11th against the best players in golf at the WGC-Mexico Championship. While he’s yet to see success at Bay Hill, he could easily flip the script this year — he’s made just one start at the track since his rise to prominence, and that came during a cold streak last year.
A tremendous ball striker, Kisner has the right skill set to make a run at the title this week. He’ll need to put the past behind him, but given everything that’s working in his favor, I’m willing to bet that he can pull it off.
