Group 15: Branden Grace, Brandt Snedeker, William McGirt, Andy Sullivan

Sam’s Pick: Snedeker — This is one of the weaker groups in this year’s event. These are four players who can definitely provide some firepower when the conditions are right, but as of now, only one is hitting the ball even moderately well.

That one is Snedeker, who appears to be the best bet to advance to the knockout stage. The Vanderbilt product seldom slumps and has notched three top 10s in his last five starts, a reasonably good record. While we know that Grace has a ton of game, the South African can be streaky, and his recent results don’t warrant an endorsement.

McGirt and Sullivan, meanwhile, pretty much backed into this week’s field — neither has been impressive in 2017. The pool looks like Snedeker’s for the taking.

Beth’s Pick: Snedeker — Quite honestly, I can see any of these guys advancing to the Round of 16, but I’m giving Snedeker the edge because he’s so consistent. However, of all the groups, this is the one that feels the most evenly matched. If Grace has things under control he’ll make Snedeker work for his points and either McGirt or Sullivan could get lucky.
