Winners don’t always come from the top of the rankings – these 5 sleepers have the potential to contend at the 2017 ANA Inspiration.

Picking the top of the field for the ANA Inspiration isn’t a difficult task. But fantasy teams need more than top-ranked players, so I’m looking a bit further down in the rankings for five sleepers in the field at the LPGA’s first Major of the season..

Not all these sleepers are likely candidates to take the Poppy’s Pond leap this year, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see one or more of them challenging the top of the Rancho Mirage leaderboard Sunday afternoon.

They’ve all been playing well during the early season events. Some are past champions and others are still on the hunt for their first Tour win. All will respond to the Hollywoodesque glitter Dinah Shore sprinkled over this very special event.

Let’s tale a look at these sleepers. You may find the 2017 ANA Inspiration champion among them.
