No. 7 Daniel Summerhays

Summerhays came to play in the majors in 2016, placing T8 at the US Open and third at the PGA Championship (with a T59 at the Open Championship) to qualify for the Masters for the first time at age 33.

The world No. 87 is in the category of one of the best players without a PGA Tour win with 17 top-10s in his career and two runner-ups. Wouldn’t Augusta be a great venue to finally break through?

Summerhays’ form hasn’t kicked in in 2017 with four made cuts against four missed with a T16 at the Phoenix Open the highest finish. He tends to play better in the spring and summer months, though. His top five career-best Official World Golf Ranking-earning events came between May and July.

The key for the Brigham Young grad will be the putter. He was sixth on the PGA Tour in strokes gained putting but has dropped to 94th in 2017.
