2017 Masters: Power Rankings for Augusta National
By Sam Belden
Louis Oosthuizen — 57th
Oosthuizen has yet to miss a cut this year, and while it seems that he hit a peak back in February, the 34-year-old hasn’t exactly been floundering in recent weeks, notching a tie for 28th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and a tie for 17th at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play. Those results don’t put him among the hottest players in this week’s field, but with four career top two finishes at the majors, he’s always at his best when the spotlight is at its brightest. Solid from tee to green and savvy under pressure, there should be nothing stopping him from making another run this week.
Oosthuizen won’t bring a ton of momentum into this week, but with a little luck, this sweet-swinging South African could deliver a terrific performance. With several top players struggling at the moment, this could be a golden opportunity to pick off another major.
