Dustin Johnson — 1st

With wins at PGA National, Chapultepec and Austin Country Club heading into this week, no one is in better form at the moment than Johnson — in fact, with six top six finishes in just seven starts, he’s been the hottest player in the world this year. That outstanding play has led to a well-rounded and impressive stat sheet, which includes rankings of second on the PGA Tour in both driving distance and greens in regulation as well as a surprising 31st in strokes gained: putting. Historically, the Masters has been his weakest major, but with a top 10 in each of the past two seasons, including a tie for fourth last year, that’s clearly no reason to count him out.

With several of the world’s elite players faltering in recent weeks, the stage looks set for Johnson to finally enjoy his Masters moment. He won’t be impossible to beat, but with his momentum, passing him will be a challenge for everyone in the field.
