2017 Masters: Power Rankings for Augusta National
By Sam Belden
Paul Casey — 25th
With three top 20s in his last four starts, including a tie for 16th at the WGC-Mexico Championship and a tie for ninth at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, Casey has been in solid form over the past few weeks. That momentum should help him to continue his success at Augusta, where he tied for fourth last year after a final round 67. From a statistical standpoint, Casey is rock-solid from tee to green, and while his normally strong short game has been less potent this year, he’s seen a small uptick in his putting performance recently.
Casey still lacks household name status on this side of the pond, but a Masters victory would certainly change that. With solid outings in his last two attempts, this could be the week when he finally gets over the hump, so be sure to keep an eye out.
