2017 Masters: Power Rankings for Augusta National
By Sam Belden
Adam Scott — 77th
Again, Scott wasn’t able to get much going in any of his most recent appearances, but he’s still had a solid year on the whole, ranking 19th on the PGA Tour in scoring average in addition to 17th in birdie average. He’s also picked up three top 20s in just five worldwide starts this year, so going by that small sample size, he’s still a good bet to shoot some low scores. While he hasn’t turned too many heads at the Masters since his winning moment in 2013, his record of eight top 25s in 15 appearances remains impressive.
Scott’s game has been a bit touch-and-go since the anchored putting ban went into effect last year, but Augusta is a place where he always has a chance to contend. If he can turn in a reasonable performance on the greens, then he should have every chance to win on Sunday.
