RBC Heritage: Top 10 Power Rankings for Harbour Town
By Sam Belden
Charley Hoffman — 25th
Hoffman’s Masters result was his fourth top 25 finish in his last five starts, a stretch that includes a tie for fourth at the Genesis Open and a tie for second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. While he wasn’t ready to take the next step at Augusta National, that kind of form will help him to stand out from this week’s field, which won’t be so illustrious. Furthermore, he’s compiled a strong track record at the RBC Heritage, racking up a trio of top 15s in the last five years alone. While his skill set isn’t a match for the course on paper, the actual results clearly state otherwise.
Hoffman has become one of the PGA Tour’s more consistent players over the past few years, so don’t be surprised if he finally nabs that Heritage title. Despite the sour finish, he should take a lot of positives away from the Masters.
