RBC Heritage: Top 10 Power Rankings for Harbour Town
By Sam Belden
Martin Kaymer — N/A
With his solid finish at the Masters, Kaymer extended his run to six consecutive top 25 finishes, the kind of consistent form that could lead to a victory at any time. The 32-year-old hasn’t contended for many trophies since his dream 2014 season, but he now has enough momentum to roll over the field at the RBC Heritage. In terms of course history, Kaymer has never missed a cut in two career starts at Harbour Town, peaking with a tie for 23rd in 2014. He also ranks fourth on the season in driving accuracy as well as 18th in strokes gained: putting, a terrific combination for this week’s venue.
On paper, Kaymer’s game sets up terribly for the Masters, so to see him finish inside the top 20 was fascinating. It’s hard to guess what he’ll do for an encore, but you should expect at least a couple of low rounds from him this week.
