RBC Heritage: Top Five Fantasy Picks for Harbour Town
By Sam Belden
Kevin Kisner — $9,700
He was little more than an intriguing dark horse at the Masters, but this South Carolina native should be on every fantasy manager’s radar ahead of the RBC Heritage. There’s a laundry list of reasons to give Kisner a long look this week, so don’t be surprised if he winds up as one of the most popular plays in the field.
Ever since losing a playoff to Jim Furyk in 2015, Kisner has had unfinished business at the RBC Heritage. He did poorly in his follow-up performance, but the 33-year-old’s current form is much improved from where it was a year ago, so he’ll have a better opportunity to contend this week. It doesn’t hurt that he’s played consistent golf for much of this year — with six top 25 finishes in just eight events, it’s no surprise that he ranks 20th in the FedEx Cup and is on pace to qualify for the Presidents Cup team. To top it off, he’s eighth on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: approach-the-green.
Simply put, Kisner has the form, history and skill set to pack a major fantasy punch this week. At $9,700 in DraftKings, he won’t exactly come cheap, but his tremendous upside should make it a worthwhile investment.
