Martin Kaymer — $9,500

Once upon a time, this German looked like he had the potential to be one of the biggest stars of his generation, but regression and inconsistency have transformed him from a world-beater to an accomplished enigma. Still, there are plenty of factors working in Kaymer’s favor this week, so don’t be shy about plugging him into your DraftKings lineup.

Thanks to an impressive Sunday 68, Kaymer managed to land inside the top 25 at the Masters last week, good for his sixth such finish in as many starts. The 32-year-old has struggled at Augusta National for his entire career, so his success last week was an interesting development, and the confidence he displayed, as well as his uncanny ability to reel off stretches of terrific golf, will travel. He doesn’t have a ton of experience at the RBC Heritage, but he did tie for 23rd on his last trip to Harbour Town. At the very least, he should have a better idea of what to expect this year.

Kaymer has been hitting it so well recently — I don’t think wild horses could keep him out of the top 25 this week. At $9,500 in DraftKings, there’s some risk involved, but the potential payoff is huge.
