Jimmy Walker — 77th

The winner of this event back in 2015, Walker has notched several solid finishes at TPC San Antonio, including a tie for third in 2010 and a tie for 16th in 2014. That makes sense, because the Valero Texas Open is often a test of putting skill, and Walker has been one of the PGA Tour’s best putters over the past few years. While his short game has slipped a bit this season, his experience at this course will still be a major calling card. He’s also demonstrated pretty good form in recent weeks, picking up four top 25s, including a tie for 18th at the Masters, in his last six starts.

Walker hasn’t been overly impressive this season, but that’s what we said in advance of his win at the PGA Championship last summer. With a few lucky bounces, he’ll have a chance to make it two victories in three seasons at the Oaks Course.
