Brendan Steele — $9,900

This California native put on a show at the 2011 Valero Texas Open, shooting par or better in all four rounds to take the trophy by a one-stroke margin. Since then, Steele has only elevated his game, so fantasy managers should give him strong consideration for their lineups this week.

Since his win six years ago, Steele has notched three additional top 10s at TPC San Antonio: a tie for fourth in 2012, a tie for eighth in 2015 and a tie for 13th just last year. With his strong all-around game, he shouldn’t have much trouble holding his own in this season’s edition — he ranks 14th on the PGA Tour in total strokes gained and 24th in scoring average, making him a good bet to stand out among the lackluster field. With three top 30s in his last four starts, including a tie for 27th at the Masters, his form is good enough.

At $9,900 in DraftKings, Steele represents a significant investment this week, but all signs point to him providing solid returns. He hasn’t missed a cut since last summer, and given his track record at the Oaks Course, it looks like he’s headed for the first page of the leaderboard.
