Billy Horschel — $8,900

He just became a father for the second time, but this Florida Gator has never been one for paternity leave — remember when he pulled out a win at the 2014 Tour Championship as his wife was set to go into labor any minute? Superstitious fantasy managers may be drawn to Horschel in hopes of lightning striking twice in the same place, but there are plenty of other reasons to keep an eye on him this week.

Horschel is a true course horse at TPC San Antonio, racking up three top five finishes in the last four years. He didn’t excel in any one statistical category in last year’s event, but he still managed to ride his extensive knowledge of the course to a tie for fourth that included an impressive 67 in the third round. With any luck, he’ll be able to turn a similar trick in this year’s event. He missed the cut at the RBC Heritage last week, so without any momentum, his strong track record at the Valero Texas Open is his main calling card.

The recent results haven’t been good, but Horschel’s game has been known to come out of the woodwork at random times. Fantasy managers who swoon over course history should be all over him.
