No. 3 Andrew Landry

Until further notice, the first item in the Andrew Landry bio will remain his performance at the 2016 US Open. His first round four-under par 66 at Oakmont shocked the world as he led or co-led overnight for three days before finishing tied for 15th.

The next paragraph in the former mini tour grinder’s bio are two Web.com Tour wins. The last came in January in the season’s second event that now has the 29-year-old No. 3 on the money list.

With his PGA TOUR card locked up for 2017-18, Landry can fire away at picking up two more wins.

You want to see sustained success when it comes to putting statistics to know you’ve truly got something, but Landry showed he could roll the rock in 2016 on the PGA TOUR. He finished fourth in strokes gained putting (.654) behind TOUR winners Jason Day (1.130), Jordan Spieth (.758) and Kevin Kisner (.667).

Landry lacks any other overwhelming statistical dominance but is steady enough in all other categories that if another part of his game catches up with his putting, he will be tough to beat.

Landry will have solid experience whenever he gets back to the PGA TOUR. He made nine cuts in 15 events including a T8 at the John Deere Classic in 2016.
