No. 10: Graham DeLaet/David Hearn

OWGR – DeLaet: No. 110, Hearn: No. 197

This all-Canadian duo is low on name recognition but high on fantasy potential. Both of these players have solid track records at TPC Louisiana, so you should expect them to shoot at least a couple of low rounds. They won’t draw the biggest galleries, but they just might end up taking home the biggest paycheck.

DeLaet, the more accomplished of these two, was rock-solid in his most recent PGA Tour start, shooting three rounds in the 60s en route to a tie for sixth at the RBC Heritage. There, he ranked third on the week in strokes gained: approach-the-green, a skill that should be tremendously useful at the Zurich Classic. He’s also missed just one cut in his career at TPC Louisiana, taking home a tie for fourth in 2012. As for Hearn, the veteran isn’t playing that well at the moment, but his steady track record at the course — six consecutive cuts made with four top 25 finishes — speaks for itself.

Ironically, these two players from the Great White North are looking poised for success at one of the southernmost tournaments on the PGA Tour. They probably won’t sell many tickets, but be sure to keep an eye on them anyway.
